Still thinking about campers
Posted on 05/19/2020 in misc
Like everybody else, the pandemic is "top of mind" 24 x 7 for me. I'm writing to help myself not internalize all of it. You can find other posts in the series at https://odonnellweb.com/pelican/tag/coronavirus.html
I've been distracted by camper research the last two nights. Are we really buying a camper? Probably? Even if we don't, diving into the research gives me something to do other than scroll through Twitter and get angry and all the idiots in the world. I'm thinking I can get my ducks in a row by July to actually own a camper and tow vehicle. Instead of working from beach front AirBnBs or the homes of family I'll work from campground wifi.
There are certainly much worse ways to get through a pandemic.
BTW, I'm not really looking to buy a VW Camper Van. They aren't that practical, and the vintage VW Bus doesn't meet any current safety standards. I'm looking at pop-ups mostly, leaning towards a A-Frame. If you have opinions on lightweight campers please feel free to shoot me an email and share.
