Coronavirus April 4

Weekends in this pandemic are really an exercise in just trying to make the time pass at a reasonable speed. Sleeping in until 9 AM burns a couple of extra hours, as I would often get up at 7 AM on weekends to tune into the Premier League. A 3-mile walk burns another hour. Watching a couple of episodes of Veronica Mars was good for another 90 minutes today. Grilling steaks for dinner keeps me busy for 45 minutes. Also, I played about 3 hours of Out of the Park baseball, finishing up the 2020 season with the Red Sox. We just missed the wildcard, which is better than I’ve seen a lot of other 2020 Red Sox simulations go. The evening was spent on a Zoom chat with some friends, where we mostly drank beer and shared stories from our long haired 80s days. The highlight was the story of how one of the guys had to draw additional chest hair onto a topless photo of Bon Jovi, at Bon Jovi’s request, before they printed millions of t-shits with that picture.
