I feel spread across too many networks for linksharing–I never know whether to share a link at FB, G+, Twitter, Tumblr, which?? So I wind up doing an assortment–including Diigo bookmarks which feed into my blog sidebar. Seems to hit a different audience in each place, and often a short but interesting discussion will ensue. My blog is still and always my home on the web, but I find nowadays people really do prefer you to visit them on their network of choice. But it quickly gets to a silly point.

The point about being findable is well made, Chris. Both of my names are Googleable, but I don’t recall anyone looking for me that way. If they did, maybe they had the ‘wrong’ reaction. ;> Facebook has reconnected some of us from years past, but no sparks have flown. Whatever.

I have noticed — from a few people — a change in what they do put up on Facebook, and wonder how many of us will eventually wander off into the real world again.

I think I need to go hug my blogs.

Good points all around – I should probably do what you’ve done to FB for all but my most favorite people (just a few). Facebook did allow me to easily decide to skip my 20 year high school reunion, though, because I knew the people I most wanted to see wouldn’t be there…
