“Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone,” said Reagan, “I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears.”
if anything demonstrates how far the Republican party has strayed from the party of Reagan, it’s this quote. Obama appeals to the best of humanity, McCain the worst. And when you add in the imbecile that McCain picked for VP… Actuary tables give McCain between a 15 – 22% chance of not surviving his term in office. That’s a 1 in 5 chance of Sara McCain as President of the United States.
That is something we should all be afraid of.

I’m afraid. You’re afraid. Any sentient being is afraid. But the far right Christianists are HOPING that McCain wins and then dies soon thereafter. This way Palin can take over and hasten the apocalypse.
The same people, though, think that Obama is the Antichrist.
That Left Behind series lowered the average IQ of our country by a good 20 points.
And Reagan also said this….
‘If we ever forget that we’re one nation
under God, then we will be a nation gone under.’
