Politicizing the troops, McCain style

McCain tried, and mostly failed, to make an issue out the fact that Obama canceled a planned visit to a military hospital in Germany last week. It turns out that it didn’t matter either way what Obama did, because McCain had an ad ready to go blasting Obama for using the troops for political gain by visiting them.

Isn’t what McCain did the very definition of using the troops for politics? I used to think he was a decent and honest man, just misguided. Turns out he is just as big a slime bucket as the rest of them.

    The reason you thought that was because he has a pretty slick ability to win over journalists.

    If he loses, and as he starts to lose, I think we are going to see bigger and bigger hissy fits.

    Remember, McCain was one of the Keating 5. The fact that he still has a political carreer at all is amazing let alone a free ride, at times, from the media.

    Of course he wouldn’t go, without his foreign policy advisors, he might have to answer unscripted questions from the wounded.

    Sorry guys, we screwed up, but since we are too pig headed to admit it publicly, you need to die in combat so the President doesn’t have to admit he made a mistake.

    The alternative being what?? Surrender to terrorism, go ahead and accept Sharia law in this country, put the Jews into the cattle cars and send them down the tracks.
