Why am I still on Twitter?

I’ve noticed that about 1/2 the Twits I see are thinly veiled attempts at self promotion, the other half are clear and obvious attempts at sucking up to somebody you hope will see the Twit. Because I sort of work in the social media space, I feel somewhat compelled to pay attention to what is happening on Twitter. But it’s really starting to become painful to do so.

Maybe I need to find more interesting people to follow, or maybe I need to stop watching all together.

    You’re welcome to call me on any of the crap I have at my place, but when I see Twitter on someone’s page I roll my eyes and groan out loud, real petulant like.

    I never really got what the big deal was with twitter in the first place. Just seemed to me like one of those trendy things that everyone does simply because it’s supposedly the Next Big Thing.
